Walk across the road to the beach or take a short leisurely stroll to resturants, takeaways, superette, childrens playgrounds, skate park and BMX track. Explore native reserves, beach, estuary or bush with everything so close to hand on the stunning Kāpiti Coast and only 45 minutes from the heart of down town Wellington.
We do not have any holiday Cabins onsite for rental. All of our sites are powered. Uniquely, all sites have individual private shower and toilet facilities these built in the 40's they offer retro charm and privacy with no queuing for the toilet block here! Great Public transport links - with a bus stop close by (Route 262).
- Onsite facilities include: Camp Kitchen - with 2 Electric Hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric fry pan, toaster and jug and some basic kitchen equipment. Complimentary Guest wi-fi located in the Kitchen. Laundry - washing machines and a dryer ($2 coin operation), ironing board and iron. Small honesty library Childrens play area and trampolineLocated nearby: Across the road from the beach. Close to Bus route (262) - for easy access to Coastlands Shopping Mall, Paraparaumu Station for trains to Wellington and beyond. North Beach Shops - includes a Foursquare, Bottle Store, a Bakery and Takeaways. Paraparaumu Beach - stores, cafes, takeaways, restaurants, Post Shop and the wonderfully vibrant Saturday Market. Ideally located for easy access to Kapiti Island tours.
- Our tree lined access driveway can be a little intimidating for larger outfits! Let us know if you have concerns, we may be able to place you an one of our end sites which may give you a little more room to manouver.Our individual shower rooms (chalets) are a unique feature. Park your van or camper to the left of the chalet and still have room to park a car in front. The power socket is located high-up on the side of the chalet so the use of a step may be useful when connecting to it.
- The Campground has it's own beach access. Just cross over Manly St and follow the blue post pathway straight to the beach.A view across one of our rows of casual sites. The high hedges provide some welcome shelter from the wind which the Wellington Region is famous for. The shower room chalets were added to the campground in the 1940's.
